Week One Day One Bonus Round

I would not like to b in it because you can drown and the boat would be very very heavy and sometimes you can die if the waka flips.

    Ruby here from the Summer Learning Journey team!
    I think that's a good reason to not want to be in a race. I feel the same way because I'm not very good at swimming. I have never heard of anyone dying because of a Waka flipping before. Have you or are you just imagining what might happen?

    Have you ever been in a canoe or a kayak before? I think that being in a Waka would be similar to that. It would be fun if I could have a go in the shallows and not be racing. I don't think I would win!

    I look forward to reading more of your blog over the summer.
