My blog today is about an eventful experience during WW2. I have chosen to do it on the nuclear bomb dropped on Nagasaki, Japan on the 9 of August 1945.
This particular event is important to my family as my Great Grandfather was stationed quite close to Hiroshima as part of the J-Force, which was there to keep the peace. They were stationed there in 1946, not long after the bombs had been dropped.
Dropping of the bombs in Japan had signaled the end of WW2.
Hi Liam!
ReplyDeleteWow! This is really cool Liam! I think it is great that you know this story about your great-grandfather. It sounds like he played a really important part in the war. It was also really awesome to hear your knowledge on the nuclear bomb dropped on Japan.
I just want to let you know Liam, that to get full points for this activity you need to blog about one more event. You can use this link to help you out: https://nzhistory.govt.nz/war/second-world-war/timeline
Or if you have another story from your Great Grandfathers experience from the War I would love to hear about that too!
Keep up the fantastic work with your blog Liam!
